 This is off the main road going through Fletcher.. not far from a nice park, but this strip of about 100 yds of sidewalk leading from the park just doesn't lead anywhere. The sad/funny thing is that the building off in the distance in the photo is the town garage. Beyond that building, and across some railroad tracks, is the main road. |

 This one cracks me up.. the sign in the background says "Poplar Crossing". Check out where the sidewalk leads - no crossing going on there. lol.. This is in Concord, NC - near the corner of George Liles Parkway and Poplar Tent Rd. The landowner apparently was forced to put in sidewalk by the UDO and did exactly as told.. (updated) - I was contacted by the landowner who said the sidewalk was put in before NCDOT added that steep entrance. It's a real shame to see a landowner trying to do the right thing, spending money to put the things in according to the regulations, and then see those efforts wasted. |
